Las Plumas High School Hostage Situation

Shots were fired inside of Las Plumas High School this morning. There were a total of 3 hostages at the time of the student gunman's arrest. Fortunately nobody was hurt. The gunman is 17 years old and had originally taken about 30 students hostage in the band room at the high school. This occured at around 9 a.m. He released most of them but kept 3 of the students in the room for up to an hour until he was arrested. The gunman didn't want anything out of the hostage situation, he simply asked for the police to back off. The whole district of schools in the region locked down their schools until the crisis ended. The teen had a handgun, which is what he fired numerous shots from.
